More than just a fundraising walk, Relay For Life is a movement.
For 40 years, passionate supporters have come together to advance the American Cancer Society’s vision: ending cancer as we know it, for everyone. Relay For Life celebrates survivors, honors caregivers, remembers loved ones lost, and raises funds to ensure that everyone has the chance to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Each event reflects its community’s unique spirit while embracing four signature traditions:
This milestone year needs you. Join us as we commemorate 40 years of impact, celebrate hope, and take bold steps toward a world without cancer, as we know it. Your presence makes a difference.
JOIN A RELAYJoin the Relay Community to celebrate survivors, to honor and remember loved ones, and fight back against cancer.
As a recognized leader in cancer research, the American Cancer Society knows that cancer patients and their families are counting on us to help save and improve lives each and every day. We are putting 100+ years of lifesaving experience to work through investments in cancer research, ensuring greater access to quality care, influencing public policy, and providing patient support. Thanks in large part to these decades of work, a cancer diagnosis does not come without hope, and the cancer journey is not one that is traveled alone.
More than $400 million currently invested in cancer research grants (as of April 2023).
We respond to about 300,000 requests and more than 119 million visitors to cancer.org.
141,500 patients and caregivers received information, referrals, and patient programs and services in 2022.

This isn’t what I wanted.
Cancer has touched all of us in some way. And we want to stop this disease in its tracks. We'll spend the next few weeks fundraising for the American Cancer Society. Then, on the day of the event, we'll honor the lives lost to cancer, celebrate survivors, and support the caregivers who so selflessly help others.
Together, we'll be a part of making a difference in this important cause.
